Mawala Kanishta Vidyalaya is a junior school in Mawala, Wadduwa, in the Kalutara District. The students organising this fundraiser describe it as a second home for many underprivileged children from around the area.

The Islamic Society of Royal Institute Campus has taken on setting up a library there as its community service project. The money raised goes towards books and learning resources the children can use every day.

The fundraiser runs on GoFundMe, organised by Ahmed Falulur Rahuman. Its goal is AUD 1,000 — the fundraiser is registered in Melbourne, so GoFundMe shows amounts in Australian dollars.
