AI OCR Cost Calculator — Textract vs Google vs Azure vs Mistral

OCR pricing is per page, but the rate you pay depends on which product you call. This calculator maps your selected document task to the matching product on each vendor, then sums cost across that product's published volume tiers. Every rate below links to the vendor's own pricing page.

Task → product → rate (per 1,000 pages):

For a vendor with rate tiers, the monthly volume is split across tiers and summed: cost = Σ (pages_in_tier ÷ 1000) × rate_per_1000. Single-rate vendors are the one-tier case. Google Enterprise OCR charges $1.50/1,000 for the first 5,000,000 pages a month and $0.60/1,000 above that; AWS Textract drops to a reduced rate above 1,000,000 pages. The tool surfaces the blended effective rate whenever your volume crosses a tier.

Batch mode applies only where a vendor publishes a distinct batch price. Today that is Mistral ($0.50/1,000 with batch inference versus $1.00 standard); the others keep their standard rate and are labelled "no batch rate." Costs convert to rupees as LKR = USD × rate using an editable USD→LKR figure, and the annual projection is simply the monthly cost times twelve. As a cross-check, the calculator re-derives every tiered cost from its blended per-1,000 rate and confirms the two agree to the cent.
