A Snowflake exec says every developer will become a full-stack builder. Here's what agentic engineering actually means for Sri Lankan solo devs and small teams.

Agentic engineering is the phrase I keep running into now, and a recent Stack Overflow podcast finally pins down why it matters. In The Future of Development is Full-Stack, Snowflake's Umesh Unnikrishnan argues the industry is moving past "vibe coding" for throwaway prototypes toward disciplined, agent-driven work for real software.

His prediction: every developer will eventually become a full-stack builder. For a solo dev or a three-person shop in Sri Lanka, that's not a threat. It's the reality you already live, and it's about to get cheaper to pull off.
