AI Credits Calculator — turn credits into real cost
Consumer AI platforms hide the real price behind “credits.” Pick a platform, plan, and what you want to make — this tool shows the credits a job burns, its cost in USD and LKR, how many jobs each plan buys, and the cheapest plan for your monthly volume. No signup, sources cited below.
How it works
Every consumer AI platform sells a monthly plan for a flat price and grants a pool of “credits” you spend on generations. The catch: a credit is not money and not a generation, so “625 credits a month” means nothing until you know what a job costs. This calculator converts the two published numbers on each pricing page — the plan price and the credit allowance — plus each generation type's documented credit cost, into money you can actually reason about. The arithmetic is deterministic; nothing is estimated.
For a plan with monthly price P and monthly allowance C credits:
- Price per credit =
P ÷ C. A free ($0) plan has a price per credit of zero. - Credits per job =
quantity × credits-per-unit, where the per-unit rate is the platform's published figure — ElevenLabs standard TTS at 1 credit per character, Runway Gen-4 Turbo at 5 credits per second, Suno at 10 credits per generation, HeyGen at 1 credit per minute. - Job cost =
credits-per-job × price-per-credit, then multiplied by the indicative USD→LKR rate for the rupee figure. - Jobs per plan =
floor(C ÷ credits-per-job)— how many whole jobs one month's allowance covers. - Volume fit: for a monthly volume V, a plan covers you when
V × credits-per-job ≤ C, and your real cost per job is the plan price divided by the jobs you can actually run. The cheapest plan that covers your volume is highlighted.
Midjourney is the one platform that does not use discrete credits: its plans grant Fast GPU time, and a typical image job uses about one Fast GPU minute. The tool models Fast GPU minutes as the credit unit and lets you override the per-job figure with your own measured average, since real usage varies by prompt and upscales.
As a credibility check, the tool re-derives jobs-per-plan a second way — the plan price divided by a single job's money cost — and confirms it matches the credit-based count for every paid plan. Both formulas agree to the unit across all 5platforms, the same cross-check discipline used on this site's tax calculator.

Plan prices, credit allowances, and per-unit rates were last hand-verified against these official pages on 2026-07-09. The USD→LKR conversion uses an editable indicative rate (default Rs 305/USD) and is never presented as a live exchange rate. This version prices monthly plans only; annual discounts, top-up credit packs, and enterprise tiers are out of scope. More platforms (Kling, Luma, Ideogram, Pika) are planned.
