CA Sri Lanka Exemptions: Checker, Modules & 2026 Fees
Pick the degree, HNDA, AAT or CIMA qualification you hold and this names the exact CA Sri Lanka Curriculum 2025-30 modules it releases, the elective and grade conditions on each, how many of the 15 modules are left, and the 2026exemption fee with its payment code.
How it works
This is a published lookup, a rule evaluation and a fee sum. Nothing is modelled or estimated. CA Sri Lanka publishes its Curriculum 2025-30 exemptions as 21 separate PDF schedules, one per qualification, each a table of module codes with a Remarks column that carries the condition. The fee sits on a different page again, and the rules that void a claim sit in a 14-item FAQ below that. The checker holds all three as data and does the six steps for you.
Step 1, the module universe. CA Sri Lanka Curriculum 2025-30 has 15examinable modules: five at Business Level, five at Corporate Level and five at Strategic Level. SL-25-3 is a choice of one paper out of two, SL-25-3.1 Advanced Audit & Professional Practice or SL-25-3.2 Advanced Risk Management & Corporate Governance, and it counts once. That is what keeps the denominator at 15 rather than 16.
Step 2, unconditional grants. A module row whose Remarks cell is blank or reads N/A is released on proof of the qualification. Nothing else is needed.
Step 3, elective conditions.A row reading "Exemption will be granted only if the elective module X has been successfully completed" is stored as the elective's code and title, never as a sentence, so the same field both renders the condition and evaluates it. Every named elective has to be ticked: the University of Colombo attaches three to BL-25-3 alone.
Step 4, grade conditions. Corporate Level rows marked with an asterisk are released only at a grade of B or above, meaning B, B+, A-, A or A+, in every feeder subject the footnote names. SLIATE uses a stricter bar on the HNDA, B+ or above. The check is an index comparison on an ordered grade scale, so B exactly satisfies a B bar and fails a B+ bar. A grade left unreported resolves to withheld with the condition shown, never to granted.
Step 5, module dependencies. Two schedules release the Corporate Capstone, and both add that it is granted only to students who have completed all four Corporate Level core modules, by exemption or by passing the CA Sri Lanka examination. C-CAP is therefore evaluated after CL-25-1 to CL-25-4 and follows them. Both also note that the Final Capstone Assessment alone is exempted: the Verbal Pitch component is not.
Step 6, the fee. The 2026 schedule prices a university degree or SLIATE claim per module: Rs 5,200 per Business Level module, Rs 16,000 for B-CAP, Rs 6,200 per Corporate Level module and Rs 7,200 for the C-CAP Final Assessment. The checker sums those module by module, then recomputes the same total as modules-per-fee-line multiplied by the published rate, and prints the figure only when the two agree. Two qualifications are charged flat instead of per module, so the flat branch is taken first: AAT Sri Lanka Curriculum 2025-30 at Rs 22,000 and Curriculum 2020-25 at Rs 16,500. A per-module sum on the first of those would print Rs 20,800 and under-quote by Rs 1,200.
Two deliberate silences. CA Sri Lanka publishes no fee for the CIMA route, so none is printed and the Registration Division numbers are given instead. And the Strategic Level appears nowhere on the fee schedule, so a CIMA claim that releases Strategic modules reports them as released but not costed. Inventing either figure would break the rule that every number on this page traces to a source.
Scope. This page answers "what does CA Sri Lanka give me". For the other direction, what an AAT qualification is worth and what AAT itself exempts, use the AAT Sri Lanka exemption checker; for what the whole qualification costs, the accountancy qualification cost calculator; and to see where a qualification sits on the national framework, the SLQF level checker. Nothing here is a guarantee: CA Sri Lanka awards exemptions on application with certified documents, and states that the final decision rests on its own discretion.

The same schedule prints a Business Digital Enabling line at Rs 5,700. That module belongs to Curriculum 2020 and has no Curriculum 2025-30 equivalent, so it is never added to a total here.
Every published schedule, and the most it can release
All 25 mappings CA Sri Lanka publishes against Curriculum 2025-30, grouped by awarding body. The counts and fees are the best case: every elective taken, every feeder subject at the published bar, nothing failed. Your own answer can only be the same or lower.

Routes CA Sri Lanka has not mapped to Curriculum 2025-30
CA Sri Lanka recognises more qualifications than it has mapped to the current curriculum. For these it publishes either a Curriculum 2015 Knowledge Pillar grid, whose KE, KB and KC codes have no 2025-30 equivalent, or nothing but a case-by-case line. FAQ 10 applies the curriculum in force on your application date, so pushing a 2015 grid through a 2025-30 module count would give a confident wrong answer. They are listed here as they stand.
How to apply, what to send, and the rules that void a claim
Apply for exemptions when you first register as a CA Sri Lanka student, or at any later point if you gain a new qualification. Download the Exemption Application Form, pay the fee, and hand the form with the originals to the Registration Division or a CA branch.
Also required, on every route
- Certified copies of the academic or professional transcripts and certificates awarded to you, with a formal request to the Registration Division.
- If your registered name at CA Sri Lanka differs from the name on the certificates, an affidavit or marriage certificate for the change.
- The original documents enclosed with the Exemption Application Form, handed to the Registration Division or a CA branch.
The rules that void or limit a claim
- FAQ 9An exemption is not granted for any module you have already attempted and failed under any CA syllabus.
- FAQ 13A student registering through an MoU, MoA or MRA who has failed a module that the agreement would have exempted does not get that exemption either.
- FAQ 10The curriculum that applies is the one prevailing at the date of your application, not the one you studied under.
- FAQ 11A qualification you yourself earned through exemptions is generally not counted. CA Sri Lanka considers only qualifications that were earned.
- FAQ 14Exemption fees paid before written confirmation are not refunded. Another fee paid before confirmation may be transferred to an examination or other payment within six months. The rates prevailing at the date of application apply.

Every module code, condition, grade bar and fee on this page was read off the sources above on 2026-10-16. The schedule tables were read with the PDF text positions rather than flat text, because a Remarks cell merged across several module rows lands beside the wrong module otherwise. Due for a re-check by 2027-01-15, before the 2027 fee schedule replaces this one.
