South Korea F-2-7 Points-Based Residency Visa Calculator

The F-2-7 (점수제 우수인력 거주) is South Korea's points-based long-term residence visa — the standard stepping-stone from an employment visa such as E-7 toward F-5 permanent residency. The Korea Immigration Service scores each applicant against a published table and grants the status once the total reaches the pass mark of 80 points. This calculator transcribes that table and computes your score deterministically.

There are four essential scoring items:

• Age (max 25): 18–24 → 20; 25–29 → 25; 30–34 → 23; 35–39 → 20; 40–44 → 12; 45–50 → 8; 51+ → 3.
• Education (max 35): associate/diploma → 15; bachelor → 25; master → 30; doctorate → 35.
• Korean proficiency (max 20), by TOPIK grade or equivalent KIIP stage: 1 → 3; 2 → 5; 3 → 10; 4 → 15; 5–6 → 20.
• Annual income (max 60), scored as a multiple of per-capita GNI (G): below 1×G → 0; ≥1×G → 10; ≥2×G → 20; ≥3×G → 40; ≥4×G → 60. Income is taken from your National Tax Service certificate, not your contract.

On top of the essential base you can add bonus items — completing the KIIP social-integration course (+10), earning your degree at a Korean university (+5), working in a designated growth industry (+5) and living outside the Seoul capital region (+5), capped together at 25. A recorded immigration-law violation or tax delinquency subtracts 10. The final score is total = max(0, essential + bonus − deduction) and you qualify when it is at least 80.

Income is the item most people can move. Because it is a multiple of the Bank of Korea's per-capita GNI (₩49,955,000 for 2024), the tool shows your income as an explicit multiple so the band is transparent, and lets you edit the GNI when a new figure is published. Every total is confirmed by a second, independent recomputation before it is shown, and if you fall short the gap advisor lists the smallest single upgrade that reaches 80.
