If the code does not work

If you do not pass
A voucher covers one attempt. A retake needs a new voucher, and the vendor, not us, sets how long you must wait before sitting the exam again. Check the vendor’s retake policy before you book.
Changing your mind
Full refund for any reason as long as we have not yet sent the code, including if you realise you have ordered the wrong exam, which is easy to do when codes look alike. Pearson VUE's published Microsoft price list puts Sri Lanka at 58 USD for a role-based exam like MB-310, with a 32 USD academic rate, against 165 USD and 91 USD for the same exam proctored in the United States. Microsoft delivers exams at a Pearson VUE test centre or online to your home or office under OnVUE proctoring, and notes online exams are available in most but not all countries and regions, so confirm availability with Pearson VUE when you book. One practical warning: MB-310 is offered only in English and Japanese — a much narrower range than most Microsoft exams — so there is no alternative language option, though Microsoft's study guide says you may request an additional 30 minutes if the exam is not available in your preferred language.

Implementing financial management is by far the largest group at 35-40%. Accounts receivable, credit, collections and subscription billing follow at 15-20%, then accounts payable and expenses, budgeting, and fixed assets at 10-15% each.
Did the exam change recently?
Yes. Microsoft re-cut the skills measured on 14 August 2026. 'Implement cost management' was removed entirely, 'Configure and manage budget planning' was added as a new objective, and ledgers and currencies, journals, periodic processes, accounts receivable, subscription billing, accounts payable and fixed asset transactions were all flagged as Major changes in the study guide change log.
Do I need PL-200 or another exam before MB-310?
No. Microsoft's MB-310 page lists no prerequisite exam. Some third-party study sites claim a Power Platform prerequisite — Microsoft's own page does not list one, and the Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate certification was itself retired on 31 August 2026.
How long is the exam and what score passes?
100 minutes of exam time, with 120 minutes of seat time per Microsoft's duration table for an associate exam without labs, and a scaled score of 700 out of 1,000. Microsoft does not publish a question count for MB-310, stating only that most of its exams typically contain 40 to 60 questions.
Is MB-310 being retired like the other Dynamics exams?
Not as of now. Microsoft's credential retirement page, updated 31 August 2026, lists a number of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform certifications as recently retired but does not include Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate — and Microsoft refreshed the exam content on 14 August 2026.
What languages is the exam available in?
English and Japanese only. That is narrower than most Microsoft exams — DP-900, for comparison, is offered in thirteen languages.
If I fail, how soon can I retake it?
24 hours after the first attempt, then a 14-day waiting period before each subsequent attempt, with a maximum of five attempts within 12 months of your first sitting. Microsoft states you must pay to retake the exam.
