CLF-C02: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

The CLF-C02 exam voucher costs Rs 9,700/= at induwara.lk, payable in Sri Lankan rupees by card or bank transfer. It is an official single-use voucher for the AWS exam, not a practice test or a training course. The voucher is valid for 36 months from purchase. After payment our team confirms your order and sends the voucher code by email.

What this voucher is

Sitting CLF-C02: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner? This is the AWS exam voucher, priced locally. It is the exam fee itself — a single-use code you redeem when you book your exam with the vendor's testing provider. It is not a training course, a practice test bundle or a study guide.

Each voucher is valid for 36 months from the date of purchase, so you can book the exam when you are ready rather than the day you buy.

Who sits this exam

CLF-C02: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is aimed at developers, sysadmins and architects working on cloud platforms. It is an entry-level exam, so there is no formal prerequisite — it is a reasonable first certification. Cloud credentials travel further than almost anything else on a Sri Lankan CV, because the platform is identical everywhere.

Why buy it here

Vendor exam fees are quoted in US dollars, which means the rupee price you actually pay depends on your card's rate on the day and whatever your bank adds on top. Here the price is fixed in rupees — Rs 9,700/= — so what you see is what leaves your account.

You can pay by card through PayHere, or by direct bank transfer if you would rather not put an exam fee on a card. Both are confirmed by us before anything is sent.

How delivery works

Delivery is handled by a person, not a script. Once your payment is confirmed, our team contacts you and sends the voucher code to the email address on your order. That usually happens the same day, and you will hear from us either way — if there is any delay sourcing a particular voucher, we tell you rather than leaving the order sitting.

If you need an invoice for an employer or a training budget, say so when you order and we will issue one against the order number.

What you get, and what happens next

What you get
One official single-use exam voucher for CLF-C02, CLF-C02: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, covering the exam fee in full. It is a code, not a study course and not a practice test. There is nothing physical to ship and no delivery charge.
When it arrives
Emailed to the address on your order once we have confirmed the payment, by a person rather than automatically. In practice that is usually the same day and almost always within one working day. If sourcing a particular voucher is going to take longer, we tell you rather than leaving the order sitting.
How long it stays valid
36 months from purchase. Book and sit the exam before it expires, a code that has simply run out of time cannot be replaced, so do not buy months ahead of when you plan to use it.
How you redeem it
Book the exam with Pearson VUE as normal, then enter this code at the payment step instead of paying the fee. You choose the date, and whether you sit it at a test centre or from home with OnVUE proctoring.
If the code does not work
If the vendor rejects it when you try to redeem it, tell us straight away and we replace it or refund you in full. Contact us before the voucher’s own expiry date.
If you do not pass
A voucher covers one attempt. A retake needs a new voucher, and the vendor, not us, sets how long you must wait before sitting the exam again. Check the vendor’s retake policy before you book.
Changing your mind
Full refund for any reason as long as we have not yet sent the code, including if you realise you have ordered the wrong exam, which is easy to do when codes look alike. Once the code has been sent it cannot be refunded, because the code is the product and it is single-use. Refunds & delivery in full.

Where it leads

CLF-C02 is a literacy credential rather than an engineering one. Its practical use is getting past a first CV filter for cloud-adjacent roles and giving non-technical staff at partner and reseller firms a verifiable baseline. Most people treat it as the step before an Associate exam — Solutions Architect (SAA-C03), Developer (currently DVA-C02, being replaced by DVA-C03 from 27 October 2026) or Data Engineer (DEA-C01). Holding it also matters for the AI track: the AWS Certified AI Practitioner page states that candidates who already hold Cloud Practitioner or an Associate-level certification can go straight to AI foundational training rather than the cloud fundamentals courses first.

Sitting this exam in Sri Lanka

For most people in Sri Lanka this is the first AWS exam they sit, because it requires no prior certification and no development background. It is not offered in Sinhala or Tamil, so you will sit it in English. AWS grants a one-off accommodation called 'ESL +30' — 'A 30-minute exam extension is available upon request to non-native English speakers when taking an exam in English' — and it 'only needs to be requested once, prior to registering for an exam'. Request it through your AWS Certification account before you book. Delivery is at a Pearson VUE test centre or online proctored from home, and online proctoring is available in English. AWS lists the exam at 100 USD and points to its exam pricing page for foreign exchange rates; buying the voucher here settles it in rupees instead, at {{PRICE}}.

Where these details come from

Every fact on this page was read off the vendor’s own documentation. Vendors change exam content, pricing and retirement dates without notice, so check these before you book.

CLF-C02 exam fee and questions people ask

How long is the CLF-C02 exam and how many questions does it have?
90 minutes for 65 questions. The exam guide states that 50 of those affect your score and that the exam 'includes 15 unscored questions that do not affect your score'. The unscored ones 'are not identified on the exam', so answer every question as if it counts. Questions are multiple choice or multiple response, unanswered questions are scored as incorrect, and there is no penalty for guessing.
What is the passing score for AWS Cloud Practitioner?
700 on a scaled range of 100 to 1,000. AWS uses a compensatory scoring model, so a weak section does not fail you on its own — only your overall scaled score decides. AWS's after-testing policy states 'Final results will be posted to your AWS Certification Account within five business days after the close of the exam.'
Do I need any experience or another certification before sitting CLF-C02?
No. There is no prerequisite exam and no required experience. The exam guide sets the target candidate at up to 6 months of exposure to AWS Cloud design, implementation or operations, and the exam page states this is not required. Coding, designing cloud architecture, troubleshooting, implementation and load and performance testing are all listed as out of scope for the target candidate.
Can I take the exam in Sinhala or Tamil?
No. CLF-C02 is offered in Arabic, English, French (France), German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese — neither Sinhala nor Tamil is among them, so you will sit it in English. AWS does offer the 'ESL +30' accommodation, a 30-minute extension for non-native English speakers taking an exam in English. You request it once through your certification account before registering and it then applies to all future exam registrations.
What happens if I fail — how soon can I retake it?
AWS's after-testing policy states: 'If you fail an exam, you must wait 14 calendar days before you are eligible to retake the exam.' There is no limit on attempts, but 'You must pay the full registration fee for each exam attempt', so a second attempt needs a second voucher. Once you pass, you cannot retake the same exam for two years.
How long does the certification stay valid?
Three years from the date you earn it. AWS's recertification page lists specific renewal routes — retaking the same exam renews it, and certain higher-level exams renew specific lower-level ones (for example DevOps Engineer - Professional renews Developer - Associate and CloudOps Engineer - Associate). There is no blanket rule that any higher exam renews Cloud Practitioner, so check the recertification page for the route that applies to you before your three years are up.
Is CLF-C02 still the current version, or is a CLF-C03 coming?
CLF-C02 is current and AWS has announced no replacement version. It is the Cloud Practitioner exam listed in AWS's exam-guide index. The only change flagged on the exam page is that the German and Italian editions retire after 31 December 2026 — English delivery is unaffected.
