AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

The AZ-900 exam voucher costs Rs 13,000/= at induwara.lk, payable in Sri Lankan rupees by card or bank transfer. It is an official single-use voucher for the Microsoft exam, not a practice test or a training course. The voucher is valid for 12 months from purchase. After payment our team confirms your order and sends the voucher code by email.

What this voucher is

The Microsoft voucher for AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, with no currency conversion to work out. It is the exam fee itself — a single-use code you redeem when you book your exam with the vendor's testing provider. It is not a training course, a practice test bundle or a study guide.

Each voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, so you can book the exam when you are ready rather than the day you buy.

Who sits this exam

AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals is aimed at developers, sysadmins and architects working on cloud platforms. It is an entry-level exam, so there is no formal prerequisite — it is a reasonable first certification. Cloud credentials travel further than almost anything else on a Sri Lankan CV, because the platform is identical everywhere.

Why buy it here

Vendor exam fees are quoted in US dollars, which means the rupee price you actually pay depends on your card's rate on the day and whatever your bank adds on top. Here the price is fixed in rupees — Rs 13,000/= — so what you see is what leaves your account.

You can pay by card through PayHere, or by direct bank transfer if you would rather not put an exam fee on a card. Both are confirmed by us before anything is sent.

How delivery works

Delivery is handled by a person, not a script. Once your payment is confirmed, our team contacts you and sends the voucher code to the email address on your order. That usually happens the same day, and you will hear from us either way — if there is any delay sourcing a particular voucher, we tell you rather than leaving the order sitting.

If you need an invoice for an employer or a training budget, say so when you order and we will issue one against the order number.

What you get, and what happens next

What you get
One official single-use exam voucher for AZ-900, AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, covering the exam fee in full. It is a code, not a study course and not a practice test. There is nothing physical to ship and no delivery charge.
When it arrives
Emailed to the address on your order once we have confirmed the payment, by a person rather than automatically. In practice that is usually the same day and almost always within one working day. If sourcing a particular voucher is going to take longer, we tell you rather than leaving the order sitting.
How long it stays valid
12 months from purchase. Book and sit the exam before it expires, a code that has simply run out of time cannot be replaced, so do not buy months ahead of when you plan to use it.
How you redeem it
Book the exam with Pearson VUE as normal, then enter this code at the payment step instead of paying the fee. You choose the date, and whether you sit it at a test centre or from home with OnVUE proctoring.
If the code does not work
If the vendor rejects it when you try to redeem it, tell us straight away and we replace it or refund you in full. Contact us before the voucher’s own expiry date.
If you do not pass
A voucher covers one attempt. A retake needs a new voucher, and the vendor, not us, sets how long you must wait before sitting the exam again. Check the vendor’s retake policy before you book.
Changing your mind
Full refund for any reason as long as we have not yet sent the code, including if you realise you have ordered the wrong exam, which is easy to do when codes look alike. Once the code has been sent it cannot be refunded, because the code is the product and it is single-use. Refunds & delivery in full.

Where it leads

AZ-900 is the entry point of Microsoft's Azure track. Microsoft itself calls the certification 'a common starting point in a journey towards a career in Azure', which is the right way to read it: evidence of literacy rather than capability. It is most useful as a screening filter on a CV and as the step before AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), which is the first role-based certification in the same track. Because Fundamentals certifications never expire, it stays on your transcript permanently with no renewal work, which makes it cheap to hold while you study for a role-based exam.

Sitting this exam in Sri Lanka

Price first, because it is the thing most guides get wrong: the widely quoted US$99 for AZ-900 is the United States price. Microsoft prices every exam by the country or region in which it is proctored, and Pearson VUE's official Microsoft price list (the one linked from its Microsoft voucher page) puts a Fundamentals exam proctored in Sri Lanka at US$44 commercial, or US$31 if you verify academic status as a student or educator. A local voucher at {{PRICE}} settles that fee in rupees rather than putting a foreign-currency charge on a card. On logistics: the exam is delivered by Pearson VUE, so you can sit it at an authorised test centre or online from home with an OnVUE proctor — run Pearson VUE's system check before you book the online option, because meeting the technical and security requirements is your responsibility. It is not offered in Sinhala or Tamil; if you must sit it in English rather than your first language, you can request an additional 30 minutes in advance through Pearson VUE's English as a Second Language process.

AZ-900 exam fee and questions people ask

What does AZ-900 actually cost in Sri Lanka?
Microsoft prices exams by the country or region in which they are proctored, so the US$99 figure you see quoted almost everywhere is the United States price, not yours. Pearson VUE's official Microsoft price list — linked from its Microsoft voucher page and last updated 1 November 2024 — lists a Fundamentals exam proctored in Sri Lanka at US$44 commercial, and US$31 academic if you verify student or educator status with Microsoft before you register. Note that Microsoft does not refund an exam booked at commercial price if you verify academic status afterwards.
How long is the AZ-900 exam and how many questions will I get?
Microsoft gives you 45 minutes of exam time and sets the seat time for Fundamentals exams at 65 minutes, which covers the instructions, the candidate agreement and the post-exam comments. Microsoft does not publish a fixed question count for AZ-900; it states that most of its certification exams typically contain 40 to 60 questions. Five minutes of break time is already built into the 45, and the exam clock keeps running if you take a break.
What score do I need to pass AZ-900?
700 or greater on a scale of 1 to 1,000. Microsoft is explicit that as this is a scaled score it may not equal 70% of the points — the bar moves with the difficulty of the question set you were served. There is no penalty for guessing, so answer everything.
Do I need any other certification or experience before AZ-900?
No. Microsoft lists no prerequisite. It says you should have skills and experience working with an area of IT — infrastructure, databases or software development — but nothing blocks you from booking, and Microsoft describes this certification as a common starting point for an Azure career.
Does the Azure Fundamentals certification expire?
No. Microsoft states plainly that Fundamentals certifications do not expire. That is different from its associate, expert and specialty certifications, which must be renewed annually by passing a free online assessment. Once you pass AZ-900 it stays on your transcript.
Can I take AZ-900 in Sinhala or Tamil?
No. Microsoft offers AZ-900 in 13 languages — English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Spanish, German, French, Indonesian (Indonesia), Arabic (Saudi Arabia), Chinese (Traditional), Italian, Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian. Sinhala and Tamil are not among them. If you must sit it in English rather than your native language, you can request an accommodation for additional time — 30 minutes — in advance through Pearson VUE's English as a Second Language process. Approval is case by case.
If I fail, how soon can I sit it again?
You must wait 24 hours before retaking it the first time. A 14-day waiting period is imposed between all subsequent attempts, and you may not take the same exam more than five times within 12 months of your first attempt. You must pay for each retake, and Microsoft does not offer refunds for exams you do not pass or appointments you miss.
Can I use Microsoft Learn during the exam?
Not on this one. Microsoft allows candidates to open Microsoft Learn in a split screen during associate and expert role-based exams, but states that access to Learn is not available on Fundamentals exams or GitHub exams. AZ-900 is a Fundamentals exam, so you sit it closed-book.
