How long it stays valid

If the code does not work
If the vendor rejects it when you try to redeem it, tell us straight away and we replace it or refund you in full. Contact us before the voucher’s own expiry date.
If you do not pass
A voucher covers one attempt. A retake needs a new voucher, and the vendor, not us, sets how long you must wait before sitting the exam again. Check the vendor’s retake policy before you book.
Changing your mind
Full refund for any reason as long as we have not yet sent the code, including if you realise you have ordered the wrong exam, which is easy to do when codes look alike. Sri Lanka sits in the lowest band on Pearson VUE's published Microsoft price list at 58 USD for a role-based exam, against 165 USD for the United States, with a lower academic rate again for eligible students and educators. MB-800 is offered in eight languages, more than the finance and operations exams, though English is the practical choice here. It can be sat at a Pearson VUE test centre or from home under OnVUE online proctoring. Of the Dynamics exams, this is the one aimed at the small and medium business market that makes up most of Sri Lanka's corporate base.

Different products for different customer sizes. MB-800 covers Dynamics 365 Business Central, which Microsoft describes as the application implemented for small and medium businesses, where one consultant typically configures financial management, sales, purchasing, inventory and fixed assets. MB-310 covers Dynamics 365 Finance, part of the finance and operations apps, where the finance module alone is a specialist role.
What is on the exam?
Microsoft's published outline gives four weighted areas: set up Business Central (20-25%); configure financials (30-35%); configure sales and purchasing (10-15%); and perform Business Central operations (30-35%). The June 2026 update added Copilot capabilities and built-in agents, and added processing inventory transactions as a new objective.
Which languages can I sit MB-800 in?
Eight: English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Arabic (Saudi Arabia). That is a wider set than MB-310 and MB-330, which are English and Japanese only. Note that Microsoft updates the English version of an exam first and updates localised versions approximately eight weeks later, so a non-English sitting may be on a slightly older blueprint.
How long is the exam and what is the pass mark?
Microsoft's certification page states you have 100 minutes, and its duration table recommends 120 minutes of seat time to allow for instructions and the candidate agreement. The pass mark is 700 on a 1 to 1,000 scale. Because the score is scaled rather than a straight percentage, Microsoft is explicit that 700 may not equal 70% of the points available.
How many questions are on the exam?
Microsoft does not publish a fixed number and states that the count is subject to change as the exam is updated. Its official guidance is that most Microsoft certification exams typically contain between 40 and 60 questions. Microsoft's exam-experience page shows the question types you may meet, including multiple choice, drag and drop, hot area, build list, case studies and labs.

Microsoft sets exam prices by the country the exam is proctored in, not by a single world price. On Pearson VUE's published Microsoft price list, Sri Lanka sits in the lowest band on the sheet: 58 USD for a role-based exam against 165 USD for the United States, with a lower academic rate again for eligible students and educators. How long does the certification stay valid?
Twelve months — the certification page lists a renewal frequency of 12 months. Microsoft role-based certifications expire unless renewed, but Microsoft states renewal is free: a shorter, unproctored, open-book assessment on Microsoft Learn inside a six-month eligibility window, with no second voucher and no proctor. Only the first sitting is paid.
